Oh boy it’s been a while since the last update. Certainly that’s not because Things and Stuff have been happening!

Here’s an overview of the last few months, summarized:

  • Workplace got hacked (literally everything: phones, computers, every program we used. All gone lol)
  • Cat died (R.I.P. Iroh, one of the dumbest but most lovable creatures I have ever met)
  • Read the entire Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan/a bit at the end by this guy named Brandon Sanderson. (Those books are just so many words y’all but also?? some of the most meme-able content since the Star Wars prequels? It’s true.)
  • Got pooped on by a hedgehog (not wild)
  • Got Covid (survived)
  • Left my career of seven years (yikes)
  • Tried indoor skydiving (sure why not)

(insert other stuff I forgot about here)

In between all this, I launched into draft FIVE of Current Project *dispirited violin plays in the distance* and am about 85% on a first draft of Completely Unrelated Project, which I mostly work on to feel joy again after a day of despairing trench work on Current Project.

So things ARE moving and shaking, just slowly, lumberingly, and with time allotted for deceleration on the other side.

Wow, looks like an intense few months. I too just had COVID and thankfully managed to survive it. Had a gruelling second day though. And completing the entire WoT series? That’s crazy. And not sure if ‘some guy’ was a tongue-in-cheek comment, but Brandon Sanderson is pretty beast. He’s even inspired me with his new Kickstarter venture for his latest novel. All the best with your WIP!

Thank you! Glad to hear you’re doing okay. And yes, the ‘some guy’ comment was definitely a joke. I’ve read and enjoyed many of Sanderson’s books and have been following the Kickstarter updates with great interest.
