I’m a fan of all things fantasy and sci-fi. I live near Portland, Oregon, which explains some (but not all) of my love for wacky shenanigans and deeply inappropriate puns. I’d like to say I’m a unique and complex creature with many layers but the truth is once you know I enjoy lengthy Youtube videos discussing why Cats the movie was such a disaster, there’s not much else to say.

I’ve worked several real, actual jobs in my life, including: basil picker, raspberry picker and potato virus tester (that one was wild). I’ve also been a corporate drone television news producer, and most recently a copygirl for a family-owned tax office lifted straight out of the 1970s. (They had a physical filing system. The year was 2023.) These experiences have greatly improved my writing. For instance, I have yet to find another fantasy author from the Portland area who can match my ability to describe various herbs and how they are propagated. Though my beta readers have not yet complimented me on these particular bits of description, I’m sure it’s only a matter of time.
